The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation is excited about its 2nd Annual Building the Dream Klassic, or “The Klassic”, and we look forward to your participation. The event will start on Thursday evening, March 1, 2018 and conclude on Sunday afternoon, March 4, 2018, hosted at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The Klassic is one of the cornerstone fundraising events of the Foundation. The success of this event allows the Foundation to carry out its noble mission of supporting programs and initiatives which result in the advancement of underserved and underrepresented youth and communities throughout America.
Established in 1981, the Foundation represents the philanthropic arm of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Reflecting the communities and backgrounds of the 150,000 members of the Fraternity, the main objective of the Foundation is to support, invest and fund programs and initiatives in the form of grants, scholarships, fellowships and human capital (in-kind professional service volunteers) in six core areas: (1) Advocacy, (2) Education, and Youth Development, (3) Community Empowerment, (4) Economic Advancement, (5) Health and Wellness, and (6) International Aid and Relief. Through The Klassic, The Foundation seeks to expand its financial support to the 750 alumni and undergraduate chapters of the Fraternity, as well as to other community based non-profits, which are direct service providers of the programs, and initiatives that represent one or more of these six core areas.
Why should you support The Klassic?
1. Investing in our youth to increase the pool of highly educated and skilled workers and leaders for private and public sectors, as well as, cultivating a new group of innovative entrepreneurs.
2. Engaging corporate partners to help expand their brand awareness to all participants including other corporations, business owners, individual professionals, young adults and parents
3. Providing a unique educational and networking platform for all participants to help elevate their impact and leadership in their organizations and communities.
