The Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation is excited about its inaugural Building the Dream Klassic and we look forward to your participation. The event will start on Thursday evening, March 2, 2017 and will conclude on Saturday night, March 4, 2017, at the PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
The Building the Dream Klassic is one of the major fundraising events for the Kappa Alpha Psi Foundation, providing financial assistance to support programs in our communities. The Foundation, established in 1981, was formed as the philanthropic arm of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. The Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt, publicly supported organization as described in Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code. Its purpose is to assist the community service and academic programs of the more than 750 undergraduate and alumni chapters, representing approximately 23,000 financial members worldwide.
The Foundation makes investments in the form of grants, fellowships, human capital (in-kind professional service volunteers) and scholarships in six core areas. The areas are Advocacy, Education and Youth Development, Community Development and Empowerment, Economic Advancement, Health and Wellness, and International Aid and Relief.
